Police at the Dock

Anthony's, one of San Diego's wonderful seafood restaurants, sits on the water and has a dock for boaters to drop off hungry passengers. Today the Police stopped by!

More Ships!

Cruise ships - from left to right: Coral Princess, Carnival Elation, Holland America's Veendam. Between the Elation and the Veendam is San Diego's cruise ship terminal (obscured in this photo by the trees).

Behind the Princess

I was so engrossed shooting the massive Sapphire Princess that I completely missed the fact that, hidden behind her, we had two other cruise ships in port!  Here are (from left to right) Royal Caribbean's Radiance of the Seas, Carnival's Elation, and the Sapphire Princess.

San Diego's Swine Flu Windfall

With the travel advisories for Mexico, cruises that are scheduled to dock in Mexican ports are finding themselves in need of a dock.  Fortunately San Diego is happy to oblige.  Here you see the Sapphire Princess, originally scheduled to be in Cabo San Lucas, docked in San Diego's Big Bay.  We're happy to accomodate her 2700 passengers for the day - hope they enjoyed "America's Finest City"!

Check back tomorrow for the suprise I found behind the Sapphire!
